CALL FOR THE CIVITAS CATALIST ACTIVITY FUND
CIVITAS CATALIST is the project of the CIVITAS Initiative responsible for ensuring that the experiences of the programme are exploited up to a maximum level and up-taken by as large a community of cities as possible.
CIVITAS CATALIST aims to involve an ever growing number of cities in the CIVITAS Initiative, not as project partners, but as actors subscribing to a new mobility culture. The idea is to expose cities to the benefits yielded by the CIVITAS approach, providing funding for the adoption of CIVITAS-like policies.The CIVITAS CATALIST project incorporates an “Activity Fund” to be progressively disbursed to finance on-demand activities promoted by take-up cities (local authorities, public transport operators and public agencies which have not been/are involved in projects already funded by the CIVITAS Initiative), through dedicated Calls for Application.The first call for the CIVITAS CATALIST Activity Fund was open from 05 November 2008 - 05 January 2009The second call for the CIVITAS CATALIST Activity Fund, originally due to open on 23 February 2009, is temporarily placed on hold. The new opening date will be announced shortly.
